I wouldn't be surprised. www.debka.com/article/25441/US-mulls-hitting-ISIS-for-EgyptAir-bombing"US mulls hitting ISIS for EgyptAir bombingDEBKAfile Exclusive Report May 22, 2016, 10:17 PM (IDT) Tags: US mull hitting ISIS for EgyptAir bombing 00:4101:15 A special team set up by ISIS in its Syrian capital Raqqa planned the downing of EgyptAir Flight 804 from Paris to Cairo, which took the lives of 66 passengers and crew, DEBKAfile’s intelligence and counterterrorism sources say in an exclusive report. The information that an ISIS team ploting terrorist attacks has been operating in Raqqa for several weeks was known to American intelligence and counterterrorism services even before the downing of the Egyptian airliner, and warnings containing the information were sent to several Western European capitals, including Paris. The warnings said ISIS is prepare a series of large-scale attacks in main European cities and airports with the start of the summer travel season. That is the main reason why both Paris and Cairo said the plane was downed by an act of terror on May 19 as soon as it became clear that the airliner had crashed into the Mediterranean 288 kilometers north of Alexandria, even before the debris was found. Our sources report that the US has decided to maintain its original plan, prepared before the downing of Flight 804, to impose a siege on Raqqa in an attempt to prevent terror cells from leaving the city and carrying out attacks." Oh I wouldn't be surprised if Obama decides to bomb the crap out of Raqqa a month or two before the November election. They're shameless!

The rumor sweeping the Arab world is that Israel did it.

The rumor sweeping the Arab world is that Israel did it. That is laughable. Only truly brainwashed Muslims would believe that nonsense. And yet they do...

I don't think it matters whether or not if you're a religious moderate. Brainwashing is brainwashing. Let me put it this way... is there a scintillia of evidence than the Muslim vision of the afterlife (you know, matyrdom, opium and the bajillion of virgins [female I hope, but who knows...]) exists from the accmulated evidence? Anyone? No? <drops a pin>
I may be a dick but facts are wonderful things that cut through bullshit. Faith, conjecture, hallucinotions or self-deludedly believing things are this way or that way just isn't facts. Just like a city bus will run you over if you don't get out of the fucking way.

Okay, not to turn this into a religious discussion, but... is there a scintilla of evidence than the Christian/Jewish or Hindu vision of the afterlife (you know, heaven, hell, purgatory, reincarnation, whatever) exists from the accumulated evidence?

There seems to be for a hell (of your own doing) and reincarnation. I suspect the problem with the Muslim vision is its very, very, very specific. And very, very, very specific visions have a nasty habit of not turning out as expected. Especially when said very, very, very specific vision came from a murderous, rapacious Genghis Khan-wannaba warlord thug under guise of being a so-called alleged prophet. Seriously, who believes in that kind of misogynist, sadistic, fairy tale B.S. unless they were born into it culturally and socially with no practical choice otherwise?
I actually agree more or less with ISIS theology about Muslim moderates. Islam is not a moderate religion and anything less than the violent, sadistic vision as as reflected in the Koran is just corruption. That believers choose to act moderate in spite of says more about the goodness of human beings in general than any religious brainwashing. What other religion in the world has a rotten foundation based on acting inhumane???
And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Before the extremism, there was the Islam that gave us Algebra and algorithms, chemistry and astronomy. They were nice to Jews and Christians, the "People of the Book", and tolerant during those periods that they weren't quite "nice". You have to be moderate to produce things like that.
