I figured it was appropriate to start this now. Gold certainly needed some level of correction, hope it is ending shortly.

I'd love to buy more, but Vanguard is changing money market funds for their stupid "upgrade" and I don't think I can mess with it. Too bad.

That's true. In the end, I took another look and can't afford it, especially when I'm saving up to pay off that loan.

Yup, I was wondering if you still had your eye on paying that loan down. Did you make that big $10K payment or is that too complicated?
I had a mortgage once with Bank of America and found that they absolutely wouldn't accept extra (non-monthly) payments against the principle. They applied them to future payments instead, which I pointed out was like holding my money interest-free. The only response I got was something along the lines of how most people would thank them to hold the money and not apply it to principle.
Sorry, off topic a bit...again. Thinking of buying gold myself. Does anyone know what Colorado Gold's minimum purchase is? That is , minimum to avoid extra shipping fees.

I picked up more Krugerrands and Maple Leafs yesterday. I'm using the Keltner Channel as a visual chart aid, similar to Bollinger Bands. When a commodity hits the upper or lower band, it really is time to buy or sell on a short-term basis.
