Ah, that's the graphic I've been seeking for a long time! It's a perfect response to people who say that fossil fuels will never die. Where did you find it?

I can't remember that one! Will have to look it up. I keep thinking of the movie A.I., in which those humans held regular events to violently destroy "mecha", the smart robots who would survive the Ice Age long after the doomed humans were gone. I think they were called flesh fairs. I tried looking for it, but nothing matched. I'm thinking that maybe it was the NG and not the OS. P.S. One of my favorite OS episodes is the simulated war games one run by computers where you had to voluntary kill yourself for "casualties". If that doesn't best reflect the bullshit concept of "government", I don't know what else does... aaand I think Reub the NeoCon WarMonger would/should be the very first one to go into the killing chamber. pbs.twimg.com/media/Cja_iCSUkAAfKdi.jpg

I would love to see windmills on NYC rooftops, and solar thin films on the upper floors of glass buildings. The main barrier is Con Edison and state regulation that makes it impossible for a commercial building to hook up electricity generators to the grid - not sure what the issue is exactly though. One cooperative building not far from me managed to pull it off, but it involved appealing to Albany for permission. I heard that after that, the state regulators clamped down even harder so the trick can't be repeated.

Government is it's own worst enemy.
